A man was killed when he was hit by a Toyota Camry as he tried to cross the street in El Cajon on the evening of Tuesday, February 20th. Authorities are seeking witnesses to the incident.

Just after 6:00 p.m., a 70-year-old man was crossing the street near Avocado Avenue and Carter Street when he was struck by a Toyota Camry being driven by an adult. The man died at the scene of the accident. Authorities believe the driver called police after the collision, requiring the assistance of a translator.

Authorities are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the accident.
