The CPSC has been sued by an unknown company in a bid to prevent complaints about their product from being reported to the public.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has been sued by an unknown company in a bid to prevent complaints about a product the unknown company makes from being reported to the public. SaferProducts.gov is a website that was launched the CPSC last March with the goal of making it easy to find consumer complaints about products and services.

Consumer advocate groups have mobilized against the mystery lawsuit, as they fear it could threaten the ability for the government to make complaint data available to the public.
