Around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning, two semi trucks collided near California State Route 71. Authorities believe that one of the truck drivers fell asleep and drove into the other truck. Only minor injuries were reported. Three lanes of the eastbound 60 were shutdown to clear the accident.

Sometime later, a separate crash occurred when a car failed to stop for the traffic caused by the big rig accident. No injuries reported at the scene of the second accident.
