Madewell expands recall of sandals due to falling hazard

About 573 additional Madewell Katya Sandals were recalled after a report of a metal shank dislodging and piercing the outsole of the product. The recalled sandals were manufactured in Brazil. See the recall.

Calphalon issues recall for pizza cutters due to laceration hazard

About 336,300 Calphalon Pizza Wheel Pizza Cutters were recalled after the company received 11 reports of the product’s handle detaching while in use. Six of those incidents resulted in laceration injuries to the finger. One injury required stitches and another required medical attention to close the cut. Bicycles recalled by multiple manufacturers and distributors

About 1.5 million Bicycles with Front Disc Brakes and Quick Release Levers were recalled by thirteen different manufacturers and distributors after three reported incidents where an open quick release lever on a bicycle’s front wheel hub touched the bicycle’s front disc brake assembly, causing the front wheel to stop or come off the bicycle. One rider suffered injuries to his finger, wrist, shoulder. The various recalled bicycles were manufactured in China, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, and Taiwan. See the recall.

About 50,900 Chewbeads Baby Pacifier Clips were recalled after the company received seven reports of beads detaching from the product, posing a choking risk. The recalled pacifier clips were manufactured in China. See the recall.
