Electrical Recalls Surge Protectors

About 9,300 Surge Protectors are being recalled due to the protectors can short circuit when non-grounded plugs are connected, posing a shock or fire hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled surge protectors and contact 360 Electrical for a free replacement. The products were manufactured in China. {See the recall}

Mohu Recalls Boomboxes

Around 1,700 Mohu Boomboxes are being recalled because the boombox can overheat, posing both burn and fire hazards. This recall involves all models and serial numbers of the Mohu BeBox smart boombox with built-in Android touchscreen tablet. Square Grove Recalls Sit-Stand Desk Converters

750 Sit-Stand desk converters are being recalled due to the pneumatic lifting mechanism. The mechanism can either pinch or break an individual’s finders during assembly, or use, posing a serious risk of injury. There have been reports of two incidents that resulted in a broken finger and a pinched finger with bruising. Hillsdale Furniture Recalls Children’s Bunk Beds

Hillsdale Furniture is recalling about 20,000 children’s bunk beds due to the bed’s side mattress support rail can crack or break, posing a fall hazard. This recall involves Chadwick bunk beds. The firm has received about 650 reports of bed support rails cracking or breaking. Several incidents resulted in the collapse of the upper or bottom bunk bed and some consumers fell from the bunk bed. The product was manufactured in Vietnam. {See the recall}

Southwire Recalls Voltage Detectors

1.2 million voltage detectors are being recalled due to the detectors can give a false “no voltage” reading when being used to test live wires for electric current, posing shock, electrocution and burn hazards for consumers. Broan-NuTone Recalls Ventilation Fans

450 units are being recalled in the U.S. that involves the L500 series fan due to an overheating issue, posing a fire hazard. No reports have been found, but if the fan should overheat, consumers should immediately turn off the fan and unplug the unit. Once unplugged, contact Broan to receive a free replacement fan. Focus Bicycles Recalls Spine Bicycles

80 Focus Spine bicycles are being recalled because the bicycle seatstay or linkage component used to connect the seat tube and rear axle dropouts can be incorrectly sized. This can cause the frame to collapse, posing a fall hazard to the rider. There has been one incident reported, but no injuries have been reported. If this should happen to you, immediately stop using the recalled bicycle and contact Focus Bicycles to schedule a free inspection and repair. Traxxas Recalls X-Maxx Monster Trucks and Electronic Speed Controls

About 4,900 X-Mass Monster Trucks and their electronic speed controls are being recalled due to an electronic failure that can result in a short circuit, posing a fire hazard. Around 8,000 battery-powered hedge trimmers have been recalled due to the trimmer operating faster than expected, posing a laceration hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled trimmer and return it to an authorized STIHL dealer for a free replacement battery-powered hedge trimmer. 175,000 LaRose’s Jewelz Gem Creations jewelry making kits have been recalled due to the kit containing high levels of lead. If ingested, it can cause adverse health issues in children.
