6 new product recalls have been announced since last week from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) including fireworks, hoverboards, and strollers.

Winco Fireworks

Cone Fountain Fireworks are being recalled by Wino Fireworks due to an issue when igniting. The device can burst and spray sparks along with pyrotechnic materials outward instead of upward. This poses a fire and burn hazard to bystanders. 14,000 units are being recalled; however no injuries have been reported. Immediately return the recalled fireworks to the retailer where purchased, and you will receive a refund or the option to exchange. {See the Recall}

Self- Balancing Scooters/Hoverboards (10 firms)

Digital Gadgets LLC, Hoverboard LLC, Hype Wireless, Keenford Ltd., PTX Performance Products USA, Razor USA LLC, Swagway LLC, and Yuka Clothing are recalling their hoverboards due to an overheating issue. The lithium-ion battery packs in the self-balancing hoverboards can overheat, posing a risk that the product will start smoking, catch fire, or even explode. At least 99 incidents have been reported, resulting in burn injuries and property damage. Consumers are asked to immediately stop using these recalled products and contact the recalling company for a full refund. {See the recall list}

Baby Swaddles

This poses a choking hazard to young children, but no injuries have been reported. 1,900 swaddles are being recalled and consumers should stop using the swaddles and sleeping bags immediately. The company is offering a $25 credit towards a new purchase in addition to a full refund or store credit. {See the Recall}

Swivel Wheel Jogging Strollers

The best course of action is to stop using the recalled jogging stroller immediately and contact the company to receive a repair kit needed to secure the front wheel. {See the Recall}
