Kawasaki expands recall for off-highway vehicles due to injury hazard

About 19,500 additional Kawasaki 2012 and 2013 model year Teryx4 750 4×4 and 2014-16 model year Teryx 800 4×4 Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles were recalled after Kawasaki received 628 reports of debris cracking or breaking through the floor boards of the vehicles. About 6,500 JHBL LED Light Fixtures were recalled after Lithonia Lighting received eight reports of hubs breaking on the fixture, including four incidents of the fixtures falling from the ceiling, posing an injury risk. The recalled lighting fixtures were made in Mexico. See the recall.

Carrier issues recall for air conditioners and heat pumps due to fire hazard

About 285,000 Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps with brand names Carrier, Bryant, and Fast were recalled (including previous recalled units from 2007) after Carrier received 47 reports of the products overheating. About 35,600 Breville Fast Slow Cookers were recalled after the company received five reports of steam or hot contents escaping from the pressure cooker due to improperly inserted sealing gasket, causing five burn injuries, including some second degree burns.
