Mercuries Asia issues recall for candle holders due to fire hazard

About 7,900 BBQ And Votive Candle Holders were recalled by Mercuries Asia after discovery that the decorative ant’s arms can break while in use, posing a risk of ejecting the candle from the holder. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled candle holders were manufactured in China. See the recall.

Toys R Us recalls trunks due to laceration hazard

About 12,650 Journey Girl Travel Trunks were recalled after Toys R Us received six reports of consumers slicing their hands on a sharp metal handle, including one injury the required several stitches. The recalled luggage was made in China. See the recall.

Festool recalls circular saw due to laceration hazard

About 5,700 TS 55 REQ Plunge Cut Circular Saws were recalled after the company received a report of the plunge lock engaging when it wasn’t supposed to, causing the saw blade to remain exposed after a cut, resulting in minor property damage. Schneider Electric issues recall for surge protectors due to fire hazard

About 15 million APC SurgeArrest Surge Protectors were recalled by Schneider Electric after the company received 700 reports of the products overheating and melting. 55 incidents resulted in property damage from smoke and fire and 13 incidents resulted in injuries from smoke inhalation and contact burns.
