Dyson issues recall for portable heaters due to fire hazard

About 381,000 Dyson Hot and Dyson Hot+Cool Portable Electric Heaters were recalled after Dyson received 82 reports of the heaters short-circuiting and overheating, with four incidents of the units experiencing burning or melting of internal components. K2 Sports recalls snowboard bindings due to falling hazard

About 767 K2 Kwicker and Kwicker BC Snowboard Bindings were recalled after the company discovered that the bindings could unexpectedly release, posing a fall hazard to snowboarders using them. About 15,770 Kozy Heat, Ambiance, and Stellar Hearth Gas Fireplaces and Fireplace Inserts were recalled after Hussong received nine reports of gas leaks resulting in explosions. Whalen issues recall for tool chests due to laceration hazard

About 20,000 Stainless Steel Tool Chests after Whalen received 11 reports of injuries due to a metal stopper or flange with a sharp edge on the inside of the right door. Nine of the incidents resulted in minor cuts. Two of the injuries required stitches. The recalled tool chests were manufactured in China. See the recall.

About 11,350 Hanging Glass Star Lanterns were recalled by Pier 1 after they received five reports of solder melting on the lanterns while in use. About 170,000 ISO7X Isometric Exercise Devices were recalled by Ontel after receiving 10 reports of the handles breaking while in use, ejecting the internal spring coil and rod. About 6,800 Georgia Boot Steel-Toed Work Shoes were recalled after Rocky Brands discovered that the boots’ steel-toe, when compressed, could fail to protect consumers’ feet. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled work shoes were manufactured in China. See the recall.

MTD issues recall for leaf blowers due to laceration hazard

About 134,000 Troy-Bilt Electric Leaf Blowers and 24,000 Remington Electric Leaf Blowers were recalled after 18 reports of the products’ impeller breaking while in use, striking the holder. 12 injuries requiring stitches were reported. E-Z-GO recalls vehicles due to crashing hazard

About 30,000 TXT Fleet, Freedom TXT, Shuttle 2+2 TXT, and Valor Golf Cars, Cushman Shuttles, and E-Z-GOTerrain and E-Z-GO Express Off-Road Utility Vehicles were recalled by E-Z-GO after a report of a loose steering wheel nut, reducing steering control and causing a vehicle to hop a curb, resulting in the chipped tooth of an occupant. About 1,000 Excalibur Matrix Mega 405 Crossbows were recalled after the company received a report of the crossbow firing without the trigger being pulled. The recalled weapons were manufactured in Canada. See the recall.

About 800,000 additional Rechargeable Batteries used in Summer Infant Video Monitors were recalled after the company received 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries, with several incidents of smoke and minor property damage. 58,800 were previously recalled. PetSmart issues recall for fish bowls due to laceration hazard

About 10,200 Great Choice or Top Fin Fishbowls were recalled after PetSmart received 10 reports of the glass product breaking during normal use. Five of the incidents resulted in injuries, including four injuries that required stitches and one injury that required surgery. The recalled glass fish bowls were made in China. See the recall.
