Reiss Innovations issues recall for magnets due to ingestion hazard

About 500 High-Powered Magnet Desk Toys were recalled after discovery that if two or more magnets were swallowed, they could be linked together inside a child’s intestines or clamp onto other body tissues, posing a risk of internal injuries. No incidents or injuries have been reported, but similar products have required medical treatment when ingested. The recalled desk toys were manufactured in China. See the recall.

Wing Enterprises recalls stepstools due to falling hazard

About 20,000 Stepladder and Stepstool Combination products were recalled by Wing Enterprises after the company received nine reports of the ladder becoming unstable and causing the user to fall. Injuries reported include scrapes and contusions and one incident of a fractured collarbone. The recalled stepladders were made in China. See the recall.

About 163,000 Low Lead Ball Valve and Shut-Off Gas Valves were recalled after discovery that the valves can crack and cause gas leaks. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled valves were made in Taiwan. See the recall.

About 1,500 American Mattress Manufacturing made Mattresses and Mattresses with Foundations were recalled after discovery that the mattresses did not meet federal guidelines for flammability. About 95,300 Water Balz, Growing Skulls, H20 Orbs “Despicable Me” and Fabulous Flower Toys were recalled after an 8-month-old girl swallowed a Water Balz product, which expanded after ingestion. LG Electronics recalls washing machines due to injury risk

About 457,000 LG Top-Loading Washing Machines were recalled after LG received over 343 reports of the washing machines vibrating heavily from unbalanced loads. 187 of these reports involved property damage, with at least 1 reported injury. About 1,500 Muddy Outdoors brand Tree Climbing Sticks were recalled after Muddy Outdoors received 4 reports of the sticks breaking while in use. About 45,300 Sassy-branded Hug N’ Tug Puppy and Monkey toys and Carter’s-branded Hug N’ Tug Monkey toys were recalled after Sassy received 12 reports of beads escaping the clear plastic sphere on the toy. The recalled baby toys were made in China. See the recall.

About 55,700 PAPYRUS Holiday Signature Ornaments, 530 2012 PAPYRUS Signature Collection Trees, and 108 2012 PAPYRUS Signature Collection Picture Frames were recalled after discovery that these products may contain Aspergillus mold spores.
