GE recalls dishwashers due to fire hazard
About 1.3 million GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile, and Hotpoint Dishwashers were recalled after GE received 15 reports of the dishwashers’ heating elements failed. Seven incidents of fire were reported, including three fires that caused severe property damage. The recalled GE dishwashers were made in the United States. See the recall.
Toysmith issues recall for bracelets due to laceration hazard
About 89,500 Animal Snap Bracelets were recalled after Toysmith received eight reports of sharp edges wearing through the fabric of the bracelets, causing cuts. The recalled bracelets were made in China. See the recall.
Canon issues recall for cameras due to allergic reaction hazard
About 68,200 EOS Rebel T4i Digital SLR Cameras were recalled after Canon received a report of the rubber grip on the camera causing a rash on a consumer who had contact with the same surface as the camera. The recalled Rebel cameras were manufactured in Japan. See the recall.
Bumbo International recalls baby seats due to falling hazard
About 4 million Bumbo Baby Seats were recalled at least 84 reports of babies wiggling out of the seats and falling, including 21 reports of skull fractures amongst other injuries. About 119,000 Gerber Bear Grylls Parang Machetes were recalled after Gerber received 24 reports of the handle or blade breaking while in use. One injury was reported. The recalled machetes were made in China. See the recall.
Emerson Air Comfort Products recalls ceiling fans due to injury hazard
About 870 Emerson Corsair Ceiling Fans were recalled after Emerson received three reports of the fans falling from the ceiling after the hanger bracket spreads apart due to motor heat and/or out-of-balance operation. The recalled ceiling fans were made in China. See the recall.
Babylicious issues recall for crib fringe due to strangulation hazard
About 300 Babylicious Crib Fringe products were recalled after discovery that the narrow fabric strip used to connect the fabric triangles could pose a strangulation risk. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled crib fringe was manufactured in China. See the recall.
LG Electronics and Sears issues recall for dryers due to fire hazard
About 21,000 LG Electronics and Kenmore Elite Gas Dryers were recalled after LG and Sears received 141 reports of the dryers continually heating after the drying cycle is complete. Three injuries of minor burns were reported, as were over 50 incidents of minor property damage from burnt or singed clothing. The recalled dryer were manufactured in South Korea. See the recall.
