More than 1 million General Motors pickup trucks have been recalled to address concerns over the seat belt. Flexible steel cable connecting the seat belt to the vehicle could separate over time if drivers continuously bend the cable when entering their vehicles.

More than 1 million General Motors pickup trucks have been recalled to address concerns over the seat belt. Flexible steel cable connecting the seat belt to the vehicle could separate over time if drivers continuously bend the cable when entering their vehicles. Vehicles affected by the recall include 2014-2015 Chevy Silverados and 2014-2015 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks.

The recalled seat belts have not been linked to any injuries that occurred from faulty units. The flaw was discovered after General Motors received an abnormal amount of warranty claims on the auto part. Repairs to the faulty part will involve adding a bracket on the tensioner. Owners of these vehicles should get the recall repair as soon as possible.
