The new study has some eyebrow raising statistics. 80% of fatal and serious injury car accidents are caused by men. Women are 27% less likely to cause auto accidents. In 2007, men caused 1.7 million more accidents than women. 75% of DUI violations are caused by men.
The study also showed that men received traffic tickets at a higher rate than women in almost every category. What the study ultimately reveals, however, is something all of us already know. Regardless of gender, we all need to be careful when we get behind the wheel.
