A new public service announcement from highway safety group We Save Lives may catch a few Los Angeles bar customers off guard when they look into a bathroom mirror and not see themselves, but a person in prison for manslaughter while driving under the influence.

When you choose to drink and drive, you are risking your life and the lives of others on the roads. Since drunk driving is 100% preventable, spreading awareness is the key to stopping this epidemic. That is why it is so important to truly understand the consequences of consuming alcohol and then getting behind the wheel.

A new public service announcement from highway safety group We Save Lives may catch a few Los Angeles bar customers off guard when they look into a bathroom mirror and not see themselves, but a person in prison for manslaughter while driving under the influence.

Kris Caudilla was driving under the influence in 2010 when he killed a Florida sheriff’s deputy. Caudilla shares his story with people through the bathroom mirror. It’s a live message. The PSA connects Caudilla directly with men he hopes will not repeat his mistakes.

The PSA, “Reflections From Inside”, is designed to bring awareness in a different way. The mirror serves as a potent reminder that every day, for the rest of your life you will have to face the horror of your actions.

The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker would like to encourage everyone to avoid drinking and driving. As Mr. Caudilla would attest, drinking and driving destroys lives. Designate a driver, take public transportation, catch a Lyft or Uber, do anything, just please don’t drive drunk.
