A 25-year-old motorcyclist was sent to the hospital in Kearny Mesa with serious injuries after an elderly driver failed to notice him on Tuesday, March 26th. The biker experienced an open fracture to his left leg.

The accident occurred at Shawline Street and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa around 1:30 p.m. A Ford sedan driven by an 85-year-old man was turning into a parking lot when he struck the motorcyclist, knocking him to the ground and seriously injuring his leg.
