A Phoenix man fell through the floor of his apartment while he was urinating on Saturday, June 28th. If that wasn’t bad enough, as he was falling, he struck his head on the toilet and kicked through his downstairs neighbor’s ceiling. The man, identified as Michael Patrick, was able to have his wife contact emergency responders. 911 operators advised her not to remove her husband from the floor.

Firefighters called to the scene were able to extract Patrick after cutting him out of the floor. Patrick was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Patrick noted that his landlords had previously refused to fix the faulty floor, opening up the possibility of landlord negligence.
