A man was killed on Arizona State Route 74 near Morristown after he lost control of his vehicle on the afternoon of Monday, February 11th. The 71-year-old man has been identified as Robert E. Caine of Scottsdale.

According to authorities, around 5:00 p.m. Monday, Caine lost control of his SUV and sideswiped a pickup truck, causing a third vehicle to become involved in the accident. Caine was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles suffered minor injuries.

Authorities believe that weather was a factor. In addition to icy roadway conditions, rain and hail were in the forecast.
