Learn What Important Information and Evidence to Bring to Your Consultation with a Personal Injury Attorney

When you contact The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker for a consultation, we will advise you on what to bring. If you want to be prepared before you even call us, check out this list of some of the evidence and documents it is wise to bring. Then contact us at 800-333-0000 to request your consultation.

All Information and Documentation You Obtained at the Scene

If the case in question was a car accident, you would take pictures of the vehicles. If the accident in question was a slip and fall accident, you would take pictures of any signs or liquids around the scene of the accident. Write down when the accident happened, and other facts about the case. The more information you bring, the easier it will be for us to win your case.

The Accident and/or Police Report

The police report is not for you – it is for the police. However, you have a right to get a copy. If you have done so, bring it when you come in for a consultation. This is the official report of what happened, and while it is not unimpeachable, it is important to know what is on it.

Medical Records

It is likely that your medical costs will be a major part of your personal injury claim. These bills can add up quickly, and it is important that your attorney is kept up to date on your costs. We need to know what is wrong, what has been done, and what else needs to be done to heal you. We also need to know the costs of these.

Statements You Have from Involved Parties

If there were witnesses to the accident and you have talked to them about the said accident, then you should bring information regarding what they said. If you do not have statements, you can bring their phone numbers or other contact information so your attorney can contact them instead. You should also provide information about the people who caused the accident including their contact info and their insurance information.

Details of Any Conversations You Had with the Insurance Company

We recommend that you do not talk to the insurance company until you have talked to an attorney. However, if you talk to an insurance company before contacting us, we will want all the information involved in your conversations. This includes the name of the person you talked to, their contact information, and the specifics of what was said.

Pay Stubs or Other Records of Lost Wages or Benefits

If you had to take time off from work and you lost wages, as a result, bring us evidence of that. Note that if you were paid by your employer but were required to use up vacation or sick time to do so, you can still be reimbursed for those lost benefits. Contact The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker at 800-333-0000 right away to request your free legal consultation.
