Hit-and-Run in San Jose Left Man Fatal, Teen Driver Arrested

San Jose, CA (April 3, 2024) – A hit-and-run in San Jose on Nieman Boulevard near Elkins Way  involving two cars left a male driver dead. Moreover, the police arrested the suspect teen driver in one of the involved vehicles. According to The Mercury News, the authorities received a report around 4:12 a.m. on Wednesday.

A hit-and-run in San Jose in a residential neighborhood left one driver fatal and a teen driver arrested. 

The San Jose police responded to the scene on Nieman Boulevard, near Elkins Way. This area links to Daniel Maloney Drive, leading to local schools.

During their initial investigation, police uncovered a series of events. Reportedly, a black 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, speeding north on Nieman, ran through a stop sign. Subsequently, it collided with a white 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup, which was heading west.

Sadly, the pickup driver was found dead at the scene. Meanwhile, his identity remains undisclosed, pending identification by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.

Later on, the police located and arrested the teen who fled the scene in the Camaro.

As of Wednesday, the authorities did not share further details. Notably, this crash is the twelfth such roadway fatality recorded in San Jose this year.
