The California Highway Patrol reported a Mazda CX-9 traveling north on Interstate 680. Suddenly, it swerved off the road, flipped over several times, and finally landed upside down.

As a result, the car’s occupants were thrown out. 

Unfortunately, the young girl died on the scene. Additionally, four female passengers were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

As of now, the authorities are searching for the fleeing driver, a 30-year-old man, who left before the arrival of the first responders.
