A three-car crash on the eastbound 91 killed one and injured another in the early morning of Thursday, September 5th. The accident occurred just before 4 a.m. and closed the eastbound 91 at Lakewood Boulevard for over three hours.

According to authorities, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim in the three-car crash was taken to a local hospital. Lanes on the 91 east were reopened just after 7:00 a.m., but traffic was backed up on the 91 for miles, in both directions, due to rubbernecking.

The cause of the collision is currently unreported. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
