According to authorities, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim in the three-car crash was taken to a local hospital. Lanes on the 91 east were reopened just after 7:00 a.m., but traffic was backed up on the 91 for miles, in both directions, due to rubbernecking.
