According to the California Highway Patrol, a person driving a Land Rover on Highway 41 to the westbound 180 connector veered off the road. 

Eventually, the vehicle entered an encampment, hitting Ervin Price, an unhoused man. Unfortunately, he died from his injuries on the spot.

Initially, authorities arrested a 27-year-old woman for DUI, thinking she was driving.

Later, they discovered she was a passenger and released her.
