A 26-year-old man was speeding in a white Dodge Charger when he failed to yield and slammed into a tour bus carrying 17 people in Bloomington on the evening of Sunday, April 5th. The driver of the Charger died and five of the tour bus passengers suffered injury. The crash occurred around 6:57 p.m. at Valley Boulevard and Linden Avenue.

According to authorities, it is unknown which driver caused the accident, though preliminary investigations believe the deceased driver was most likely at fault. After the crash, rescue crews extricated the driver and transported him to Fontana Medical Center, where we was pronounced dead. Four of the five injured victims from the tour bus were also taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.

The tour bus is owned by a private company with an above-average safety record. The crash closed the Valley Boulevard and Linden Avenue intersection for several hours. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
