In a senseless tragedy, two highway workers were killed early Sunday Morning in Torrance. Two drunk drivers collided with each other on the 405 North, sending one of the vehicles directly in to a road construction crew. The careening vehicle struck and killed two members of the road crew and injured a third worker.

The drivers of both vehicles were arrested at the hospital on suspicion of driving under the influence and may be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

See the news article here.

This is the kind of car accident that never needs to happen. Please don’t drink and drive. Road construction is an inherently dangerous job on its own. Road workers deserve our caution.
