The Sacramento Police Department received reports of a motorcycle and car collision near Ephesus Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found a seriously injured 38-year-old man. Before the police arrived, the vehicle had already left the scene.

Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries. 

Later, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office confirmed the man’s identity as Daniel Lee Morris.
