Car Accidents in East Bay Left Two People Fatal

Contra Costa, CA (April 18, 2024) – Car accidents in East Bay in Contra Costa County left two people dead. The authorities recently identified the victims as Thomas Coleman, 30, of Pittsburg and Sherelle Allen, 54, of Antioch. According to Mercury News, the incidents happened on Sunday.

The first incident, a T-bone crash, occurred at the intersection of W. 10th Street and Auto Center Drive in Antioch at around 4:07 p.m. Unfortunately, Thomas Coleman, 30, from Pittsburg, died in the collision.

Antioch police reported that Thomas Coleman was driving a blue Acura sedan north toward downtown Antioch on Auto Center Drive. Subsequently, he collided with a silver Lexus traveling west toward Pittsburg as he entered the intersection.

Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Thomas Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the occupants of the Lexus, a driver and a passenger, suffered injuries but are expected to survive.

Additionally, close to midnight at 11:55 p.m., another crash on state Highway 4 in Hercules, just east of Interstate 80, claimed the life of Sherelle Allen, 54, from Antioch.

The California Highway Patrol reported that Sherelle Allen was in a silver Buick Regal that crashed into a gray Jeep Wrangler. 

Sadly, Sherelle Allen died at the scene. On the other hand, the Jeep’s driver escaped uninjured.

Reportedly, the latter accident in these car accidents in East Bay was the second fatal incident on Highway 4 in 2024.
