Reportedly, the accident happened on the eastbound lanes of Pearblossom Highway at 106th Street East.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found people trapped within a blue/gray Mitsubishi sedan and a blue Toyota Yaris.

Regrettably, California Highway Patrol Officer E. Larsen confirmed that both drivers succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Furthermore, three passengers in one of the vehicles also died.

At this time, the identities of those involved have yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.

In response, the CHP initiated a SigAlert at 9:09 p.m., closing both sides of 106th Street East to facilitate the investigation.
