A serious car crash in Santa Monica closed Pacific Coast Highway for over two hours on Thursday, February 21st. The accident seriously injured two motorists, one of whom was in critical condition.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 12:20 p.m. Thursday when a vehicle was turning right out of a private club when it was hit by a car traveling south on PCH. Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. Both drivers were taken to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other with severe injuries.

Northbound PCH was reopened around 3:00 p.m. The collision snarled traffic throughout the area.
