A high-speed 3-car crash on the Vincent Thomas Bridge last night closed the bridge to traffic during a police investigation. Fire officials have said that two of the cars involved in the collision were traveling over 100 miles per hour. Five people were injured, including one person who was injured critically.
The Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro is a 1,500 foot bridge connecting Terminal Island and San Pedro. Any car accident on the bridge can strand other motorists for extended periods of time.
