A car containing six people swerved off a winding mountain road in Angeles National Forest, falling 300 feet into a ravine on the evening of Sunday, August 30th. The incident occurred in Glendora around 8:45 p.m. near Glendora Ridge Motorway and Glendora Mountain Road.
Miraculously, all of the passengers in the vehicle survived. Rescue crews spend many hours attempting to free the occupants. Three of the crash victims were listed in critical condition and were airlifted to USC Medical Center. Two of the victims were in moderate condition, and one only suffered from minor injuries.
Authorities did not elaborate on what may have caused the crash. The mountain roads in the foothills are notoriously twisty and difficult to navigate.
