11 people were injured, five critically, when a Chrysler limousine carrying nine passengers crashed into the back of a sedan, causing a chain-reaction crash on the evening of Saturday, August 1st. The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Interstate 5 at the Highway 126 exit in Valencia, just north of Magic Mountain.

According to authorities, the limousine driver was exiting the 5 when he approached stopped traffic and was unable to brake in time to avoid a collision. The limousine crashed into the back of a Kia, which crashed into the back of a Honda. 11 of the 12 persons involved in the crash sustained injury, including five victims listed in critical condition. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash. The limousine was registered to a private party.
