A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crossing into oncoming traffic and causing a crash near Mojave Tuesday, July 14th. The suspected drunk driver had two children in her car, ages 6 and 7. The crash occurred on Highway 14.

According to authorities, Rebecca Hallman, 32, of California City was traveling south on Highway 14 when she crossed into northbound traffic, striking a vehicle with four occupants. Six people total were injured in the crash, including at least one victim, identified as Esquivel Perez, 19 of Bishop, with serious injuries.

Hallman was arrested after the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
