A crash on the 405 late on the night of Monday, March 5th wedged a Corvette underneath a big rig, closing all but one southbound lane. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred just after 11:00 p.m. Monday night on the southbound 405 through the Sepulveda Pass, near Getty Center Drive. The driver of the Corvette was rear-ended and sent into the back of a semi truck, wedging him underneath. The Los Angeles Fire Department was able to rescue the driver, who remained conscious throughout the ordeal, out of what was left of the Corvette.

Looking at the amazing pictures of this accident, the driver barely escaped the crash with his life.
