Toyota Motor Corporation has announced it has recalled 6.4 million vehicles to fix five potentially hazardous items. The recall spans a decade and includes 27 different Toyota cars, trucks, and SUVs. Toyota isn’t aware of any injuries linked to any of the five defects that triggered the massive recall, which include problems with the steering columns, windshield wiper motors, and seat adjustment systems.

Since 2009, Toyota has now recalled 28 million cars, trucks, and SUVs. After the last major recall for unintended acceleration and the recent episode of General Motors’ ignition switch recall, Toyota appears to be proactively addressing potential manufacturing concerns.
