A suspected drunk driver hit two parked cars in a parking lot before leaving the scene, then ran a red light, t-boning another vehicle late Sunday, May 25th. The driver of the struck vehicle was also a suspected drunk driver. The final crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of Park Boulevard and University Avenue in San Diego’s Hillcrest district Sunday evening.

Both drivers and two passengers were injured in the crash. The second driver suffered a broken neck in the crash and was taken to a local hospital along with his passenger. Both occupants of the second vehicle were expected to survive.

The first driver, a 42-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. The second driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
