A two-car crash in Riverside killed both drivers and injured one other after a woman in a Scion coupe ran a stoplight and t-boned a Chrysler minivan early Wednesday, March 11. The collision occurred around midnight at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Canyon Crest Drive.

According to authorities, a female driver in a late-model, silver Scion coupe was traveling north on Alessandro Boulevard when she ran a red light, striking a Chrysler minivan headed west on Canyon Crest. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger was taken to Riverside Community Hospital in serious condition. There were conflicting reports of which vehicle the passenger was in at the time of the crash.

The crash closed Alessandro for several hours for investigation and cleanup.
