One person was ejected from his vehicle and killed and three other people were severely injured after a high-speed, two-car crash in Lakewood early Friday, December 18th. The crash occurred around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Clark Avenue.

According to a witness, at least one of the vehicles was traveling at least 20 miles of the speed limit and at least one of the vehicles attempted to stop before the collision. The deceased victim was found ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other crash victims were all taken to St. Francis Medical Center in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Authorities are investigating if the vehicles were racing each other or if alcohol was involved in the deadly collision.
