A woman, 28, and a girl, 7, both from Corona were killed on Friday, December 28th after a car veered into a bench where they were waiting for the bus. A Riverside man, 31, and a Corona woman, 30, were both taken to Riverside Community Hospital with serious injuries.

Witnesses have stated that the vehicle, a Kia sedan, was stopped at a red light. After the light turned green, the car took a sharp right turn, crashing into the bus bench where the victims were waiting and then into a light pole.

The driver of the sedan was taken into police custody, but the police have stated that the driver’s speed and intoxication level do not appear to be a factor in the crash, though the accident is still under investigation. The accident occurred at Magnolia Ave. and Tyler Ave. in Riverside, California.
