Husqvarna issues recall for motorcycles due to crashing hazard

About 260 Husqvarna Close Course/Competition Off-Road Motorcycles were recalled after the company discovered that the motorcycle’s throttle cable can malfunction, causing the rider to lose control of his or her speed. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled motorcycles were made in Italy. See the recall.

John Deere recalls tractors due to risk of serious injury or death

About 7,000 John Deere Compact Utility Tractors were recalled after the company received three reports of broken spring locking pins and identified two more spring locking pin failures during assembly. The broken pins could cause the rollover protection system to fail, posing risk of serious injury. The recalled John Deere tractors were made in the United States. See the recall.

LTD Commodities recalls microwaveable pans due to fire hazard

About 18,220 Microwave Crisper Pans with Lids were recalled after LTD Commodities received 16 reports of the a metal washer in the lids causing sparks, catching fire, or causing the lids to explode. The recalled crisper pans were manufactured in China. See the recall.

JP Boden recalls sandals due to falling hazard

About 900 Boys’ and Girls’ Sandals were recalled after JP Boden discovered that the cork sole can detach from the sandal, posing a risk of a fall. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled sandals were made in Vietnam. See the recall.

Char-Broil issues recall for gas grills due to burn hazard

About 71,200 Char-Broil Gas Patio Bistro Grills were recalled after 26 reports of the burner flame and suddenly reigniting after the control knob is turned off. Numerous injuries were reported, including four burn injuries and seven reports of singed hair. The recalled gas grills were manufactured in China. See the recall.

Philips Lighting issues recall for LED bulbs due to shock hazard

About 99,000 Endura and Ambient LED Dimmable Light Bulbs were recalled by Philips Lighting after discovery that a lead wire in the housing may not fit properly, posing a risk of electrifying the entire lamp. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled light bulbs were made in China. See the recall.

IKEA recalls beds due to laceration hazard

About 40,000 KRITTER and SNIGLAR Junior Beds were recalled by IKEA after two reports of the metal rod connecting the guard rail and frame broke while in use, putting occupants at risk for cuts. The recalled IKEA furniture was made in Poland, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Romania. See the recall.

Applica Consumer Products re-announces recall for coffeemakers due to laceration and burning hazards

About 641 additional units of the Black & Decker Spacemaker 12-Cup Programmable Under-the-Cabinet Coffeemakers were recalled after the company learned of sales after the initial recall of 159,000 units. In all, there have been 1,607 reports of the coffee pot’s handle breaking and 83 reports of burn or laceration injuries. The recalled coffeemakers were made in China. See the recall.

About 7,250 Children’s Two-Piece Loungewear Sets were recalled after Apple Park learned the garments violate federal guidelines for flammability of children’s sleepwear. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled clothing was manufactured in China. See the recall.

Wilton Industries issues recall for tea kettles due to burning hazard

About 717,400 Chefmate 2-Quart Tea Kettles were recalled by Wilton Industries after they received 13 reports of problems with the tea kettles. Five incidents of steam traveling up the handle, three incidents of hot water spilling from the spout, one incident of a hot handle, and four incidents of the kettle’s base melting on the stove were reported. About 7,000 Children’s Pajamas and Nightgowns were recalled after the company learned the garments failed to meet federal guidelines for flammability of children’s sleepwear. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The recalled pajamas were made in Peru. See the recall.

Halo Innovations recalls blankets due to choking hazard

About 27,000 HALO SleepSack Wearable Blankets with Pink Satin Flowers were recalled by Halo Innovations after they received six reports of the petals detaching from the blankets, including one incident of an infant gagging on a detached petal.
