To help kick off the Community Scholarship application period for the second year in a row, we recently caught up with our $15,000 scholarship recipient, Crystal Eshraghi, to find out what she has been up to this past year as a freshman at UCLA.

Every year, scholarships and services help thousands of students across the country to achieve their dream of earning a college degree. Last year, The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker offered our first ever Community Scholarship program. This program awarded a total of $25,000 to four exceptional students who exemplified outstanding community service and dedication to their hometowns in Southern California.

To help kick off the Community Scholarship application period for the second year in a row, we recently caught up with our $15,000 scholarship recipient, Crystal Eshraghi, to find out what she has been up to this past year as a freshman at UCLA college.

Here is what she had to say about how the Community Scholarship program helped further her studies:

“Thanks to the Larry H. Parker Community Scholarship, my first year at UCLA has been the most exciting and productive time of my life thus far. I have been able to fully engage in my studies and explore countless extracurricular opportunities, both on and off campus without having to worry about paying for school.

As a pre-medical student, I have spent a great deal of time working in a cardiovascular research laboratory, volunteering in the UCLA hospital and participating in health clinic trips to underserved areas in Mexico. I’ve also been mentoring and tutoring local high school students through a wonderful on-campus organization.

Because of the amazing support I have received from the Larry H. Parker scholarship, I will also be able to take a few extra courses outside of my major this summer — an exploration of other academic fields that would not have been financially possible without the award.

I would like to thank the entire team at this remarkable law firm for genuinely and selflessly supporting their community, and for providing students like me with the ability to pursue opportunities that may have seemed entirely impossible before!”

Without scholarship assistance, many students like Crystal would either graduate with thousands of dollars in debt, or not attend college at all. Here, at the Law Offices of Larry H. Parker, we strongly believe in educating students of communities in Southern California, as well as across the country and the world.
