A family of three were eating lunch at a restaurant in Santa Ana on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 18th when an SUV crashed into the restaurant. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. at Big K’s Burger on West First zxcStreet.

Authorities have said that an errant Ford Expedition collided with a school bus, swerved, and crashed head-on into the restaurant. At the time of the crash, a man, a woman, and their 5-year-old daughter were eating at the restaurant, directly in the path of the SUV. Authorities were able to free the man, who was stuck underneath the vehicle, and took the family to a local hospital. The injured were listed in stable condition.

Officials are currently investigating the crash with the help of surveillance tapes.
