According to authorities, the four girls suffered moderate to major injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

The crash occurred around 8:18 p.m. Thursday evening. The mayor, Alan Long, 44, was driving south on Jefferson Avenue in a pick-up truck when he crashed into the teens.
