The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) announced that the crash took place at the Redwood Drive and Business Park Drive intersection. 

Initially, investigations indicated the motorcyclist was traveling south on Redwood Drive. At the same time, a northbound vehicle turned left onto Business Park Drive, directly in front of the motorcycle, causing a collision.

Then, RPDPS officers, together with Sonoma County Fire District medics, arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, they found the motorcyclist on the road and attempted life-saving measures.

Subsequently, the motorcyclist was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. As of now, his name is withheld.

Meanwhile, the vehicle’s driver and two passengers also received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries

As a result, the incident led to the road being closed for several hours to facilitate investigation and evidence collection. Further, RPDPS noted that alcohol did not seem to be a contributing factor in the crash.
