Reminiscent of the events of ‘Carmageddon’, the planned President’s Day weekend, 80-hour closure of lanes on the northbound 405 between Getty Center Drive and Ventura Boulevard has been dubbed ‘Jamzilla’.

Not quite as severe as the entire closure of the 405 that was Carmageddon, Jamzilla will nonetheless present headaches to anyone traveling during President’s Day weekend. The only alternative to the 405 during the lane closures is Sepulveda Boulevard, which does not have the capacity to handle the traffic usually seen on the freeway.

Metro, Caltrans, CHP, and LA DOT is actively warning residents and commuters about the 5.5 mile closure. Between February 14th and February 18th, Some northbound lanes will be shutdown during the day and all northbound lanes will be shut down at night.

The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker would like to encourage everyone to be aware of the lane closures dubbed Jamzilla and avoid it if possible.
