After hitting a car, a big rig careened into a fast food drive thru in Ceres on the morning of Wednesday, April 30th. The driver of the big rig and the driver of the vehicle the big rig struck suffered moderate injuries. Luckily, no one in the restaurant at the time was injured. The crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. at the Jack in the Box on East Hatch Road.

Authorities are investigating the accident. Early eyewitness reports indicate the truck driver to be at fault, striking another vehicle. The big rig took out most of the drive thru section of the restaurant. No customers appear to have been in the drive thru or the lobby of the restaurant at the time of the crash. The driver of the big rig and the other vehicle were taken to local hospitals for their injuries.
