A motorcycle passenger was killed when the motorcycle she was on collided with a cement truck in North Hollywood on the morning of Wednesday, October 7th. The deceased victim was identified as Laura Diamond, 53, of North Hollywood. The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of West Huston Street and Vineland Avenue.

According to authorities, the driver of the motorcycle came into contact with the cement truck, causing Diamond to be ejected from the motorcycle. She was pulled underneath the cement truck and was struck by the vehicle’s rear wheel. Diamond was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital for his injuries. the driver of the cement truck was uninjured.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash. Neither the motorcyclist nor cement truck driver has been ticketed or arrested.
