A rollover accident in Jacumba injured two children, one seriously, after a vehicle overturned after veering out of control.

Around 1:30 PM on Friday, January 4th, a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 8 near the Carrizo Gorge in southeastern San Diego Country overturned. The accident blocked one lane on the freeway for around two hours, according to the CHP. Both injured children were transported to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Due to the severity of the accident, one of the injured children was transported by emergency helicopter.

The father of both children has indicated on a CBS8.com news article that both children were released from the hospital on Monday, and should be fine.
