A 22-year-old Mountain View man has been arrested on charges of possible DUI and manslaughter after a wrong-way crash on the 101 Freeway in San Jose early Saturday, July 12th. The man whom was arrested has been identified as Casey Matthew Olson. The deceased victim has been identified as Christian Reyes, 25, of Gilroy.

Around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning, witnesses saw a 2000 Honda van traveling north on the 101 South near Blossom Hill Road. Soon after, the van grazed a tour bus, bounced off a 2014 Honda Civic sedan, and then crashed head-on into a 2005 Dodge vehicle. A 2005 Volkswagen had to swerve to avoid the scattered vehicles and rolled into a ditch.

Reyes was the front seat passenger in the Dodge that was struck head-on. Reyes was trapped inside the vehicle and died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Dodge, a 21-year-old man from Gilroy, was able to exit the vehicle with minor injuries. The drivers of the Volkswagen and Civic were treated at the scene for minor injuries. No one on the tour bus was injured. Olson himself was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, including broken ribs. He was taken to jail after he was released.
