The NHTSA was not satisfied with the replacement of floor mats, and Toyota is now recalling the same vehicles to get a modification to the accelerator pedal.

Toyota has updated its 3.8 million vehicle recall. The NHTSA was not satisfied with the replacement of floor mats, and Toyota is now recalling the same vehicles for a modification to the accelerator pedal, reducing the length of the pedal by about three-quarters of an inch.

The same vehicles are affected by the Toyota accelerator pedal recall as the original floor mat recall, which are the 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, 2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma, 2005-2010 Toyota Avalon, 2007-2010 Toyota Camry, 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra, and Lexus vehicles, including the 2006-2010 Lexus IS250, 2006-2010 Lexus IS350, and 2007-2010 Lexus ES350.

For more information on the recall, contact Toyota at (800) 331-4331 or the NHTSA at (888) 327-4236.
