A four-car crash on PCH in Laguna Beach killed a passenger and sent five others to the hospital in the afternoon of Sunday, January 26th. The deceased victim was the passenger in the car that caused the crash.

The collision occurred around 1:30 PM on north Pacific Coast Highway near Ledroit Street. A driver slammed into a vehicle in his lane and then veered into oncoming southbound traffic, hitting two more cars.

According to authorities, the passenger in the initial car was killed in the crash. The driver of the initial car was taken to the hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Four other persons from involved vehicles were taken to a local hospital with injuries ranging from minor to severe. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
